Abilene AI campus at Lancium Clean Campus (Stargate Abilene, Texas)

Under constructionUnited StatesTexas

AI data centre campus designed and built by Crusoe on the Lancium Clean Campus in Abilene, Texas, widely referred to as Stargate Abilene with Oracle and OpenAI as the compute users. Crusoe said in March 2025 that phase two adds six buildings, bringing the campus to eight buildings, about 4 million sq ft and 1.2 GW of total power capacity, with phase two expected to complete in mid 2026. Lancium describes a 1.2 GW grid interconnection plus behind-the-meter battery storage and solar, with natural gas turbines for backup. Cooling is direct-to-chip liquid with a closed-loop, zero-water-evaporation design.

Notes

Occupier roles (Oracle, OpenAI) are widely reported but are not stated in the cited Crusoe release. Later delivery progress reported by trackers was not verified against a primary source, so stage remains under construction. Grid status contracted reflects Lancium's described interconnection, energisation of later phases not confirmed.
