Japanese technology investor and a lead partner in the Stargate programme with OpenAI and Oracle. In Japan SoftBank signed an MoU with Sharp in June 2024 for an AI data centre at the former Sakai LCD plant with over 150 MW planned at first. It develops Stargate sites in Ohio and Texas.
