Stargate Norway (Kvandal, Narvik)
AI data centre planned by Nscale with Aker and OpenAI at Kvandal outside Narvik in northern Norway. The partners said it is planned to deliver 230 MW of capacity with an ambition to add 290 MW more, and that it is OpenAI's first data centre initiative in Europe under its OpenAI for Countries programme. The area has abundant hydropower, low local demand and limited transmission capacity.
