Google Kajaani data centre (Kainuu)
Kajaani is one of four Finnish sites in Google's September 2026 programme of at least EUR 13 billion for 2027 and 2028. BBC News reported in October 2026 that preparatory work at Kajaani and Muhos was ordered to stop by 23 October pending an environmental impact assessment. The programme figure covers all four sites and is not split by site.
