Google Hamina data centre campus
Google has run a data centre campus in Hamina since 2009 and had invested EUR 3.5 billion there by May 2024, when it announced a further EUR 1 billion expansion and a heat recovery partnership with the local district heating company Haminan Energia. CapMan reported that the heat recovery plant supplied its first heat in Q4 2025 and should cover about 70 to 75% of Hamina district heating once fully running.
