Market profile
Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia is scaling data centre capacity from a small base as part of its AI and digital strategy. The Ministry of Communications and IT reported operational capacity rising from 68 MW in 2021 to 440 MW in 2025 and 467 MW in the first quarter of 2026. CST regulates data centre services. Large new projects include DataVolt's Oxagon campus in NEOM, HUMAIN partnerships, and new Azure (November 2026) and AWS (December 2026 target) regions.

Overview
Riyadh, Dammam/Eastern Province and Jeddah host existing capacity. Google and Oracle already run regions. NEOM's Oxagon is the main new AI campus location.
Why it matters for cooling and power
Rapid growth from a small base plus hyperscaler entry makes Saudi Arabia a key Middle East market for cooling and power equipment in hot climates.

Capacity in tracked public coverage
Tracked public coverage, not a national total. Sums of reported, project-level figures from 0 of the 2 published project records we track for Saudi Arabia. Each metric and each delivery class is summed on its own and never added to another. Confirmed operating capacity never includes design or ultimate capacity. Delayed projects are never counted as under construction now. Campus and phase figures are not double counted. Ranges and upper bounds are not summed. Unknown values are not counted as zero.
None of the tracked project records for Saudi Arabia has a figure that can be summed yet. Figures with an unclear basis and undisclosed values are never added. Each project page lists its reported figures as published. Not disclosed is not zero.
