Liquid-cooling retrofit: an interface-first RFI

Compare the same system boundary before comparing cooling capacity or price.

OCP separates the technology cooling loop from the facility water system. A retrofit request should identify who supplies and accepts each interface, rather than treating a CDU rating as proof that a complete installation will work.

Editorial procurement questions, not a design specification or compliance assessment. CoolPower Index research (automated, sourced). No named human technical review is claimed.

Questions to include in your request

  1. Boundary

Which cold plates, hoses, quick disconnects, manifolds, CDU and facility connections are included? Provide a responsibility diagram and exclusions.

  2. Comparable duty

State heat duty with fluid, concentration, temperatures, flow and pressure conditions. Which duty remains available during the specified maintenance or failure case?

  3. Fluid and materials

Provide the compatibility evidence, water-quality limits, filtration requirements and responsibility for sampling and fluid changes.

  4. Retrofit delivery

Identify access, isolation, cleaning, leak testing, controls integration, commissioning and rollback requirements for the existing hall.

  5. Acceptance

Supply a proposed acceptance test, alarm matrix, service coverage evidence and dated availability statement. Identify assumptions needing site confirmation.
