Bell AI data centre with Thompson Rivers University (Kamloops)
Bell said in May 2025 that a 26 MW AI data centre is being built with Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops and will come online by the end of 2026. It is part of Bell AI Fabric, which aims for upwards of 500 MW of hydro-electric powered AI compute across six facilities in British Columbia. Bell said a second 26 MW data centre would follow in 2027, and that a first 7 MW Kamloops facility powered by Groq LPUs would open in June 2025.
