Google Kronstorf data centre (Upper Austria)
Google broke ground in April 2026 on its first Austrian data centre at Kronstorf, on a 70 hectare site it bought in 2008. ORF reports about 42,000 square metres of buildings, of which 29,000 are data centre space, about 100 jobs and a planned opening in 2027. ORF reports a maximum power demand of 150 MW, a figure not given in the DCD report. DCD adds that planning permission came some 18 years after Google bought the site, and that the building will have a green roof with solar panels.
